About AutomaLinksAutomaLinks is a project of MS Internet. Search engines sort search results by their interpretation of relevance to the search query. Beyond the content of the page one very large factor is the number and properties of inbound links. They reason that a site with many links to it will likely contain the best material. Search engine criticise the use of agreed links over contextual links (those in descriptive text) as cheating. This is fine for established sites but how does a new site gain links. It could be the best site in the world but if no-one finds it they will not link to it, and if no-one links to it no-one will find it. So we get trapped in a vicious circle. Consequently virtually all successful sites have had to resort to link exchange in their initial period of existence in order to get high enough in the search engine results to start gaining true contextual links. This process can be extremely expensive and time consuming so we design this system to simplify the process. We do not aim to cheat the search engines in to listing irrelevant sites. What we aim to do is to give site owners an easy way to establish the relevance of their site. This is achieved by:
